The Mother Fox Worldwide

The primary objective of this initiative is to promote social and environmental sustainability and enable growth opportunities for emerging enterprises, firstly by providing financial institutions, donors and large corporate and public institutions with the necessary governance mechanisms and assurance they may need to realize the flow of funding to such enterprises.


Meet our team

The Mother Fox Worldwide further objective is to enable sustainable job creation, especially for young individuals qualified in basic business and/or social principles.

Dr. Karin Badenhorst
Founder of The Governance Project Foundation, and co-founder of The Mother Fox Worldwide concept, Karin is passionate about helping to make the world a better place through collaborative change projects. The Mother Fox symbolizes the promotion of principle-based enterprise governance in corporations both large and small, predominantly to build a greater social conscience for the benefit of the emerging enterprises in similar industries.

She was a partner with Ernst & Young in Cape Town and national partner with Arthur Andersen prior to this. Karin holds a Ph.D in risk management and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business, Cape Town. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Risk Managers of South Africa, a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa.

 

Mr.Tony Frost
Tony has been a director of companies since 1975. Amongst others, he is a member of the Minister of Environment Affairs Advisory Forum (NEAF), the SA Biodiversity Institute, the JSE Sustainability Index Advisory Committee, the NBI Sustainable Futures Advisory Board. For 5 years until February 2007 he was Chief Executive of the WWF in South Africa, was on the WWF Global Operations Executive (The Charter Group), and the WWF Global Conservation Programme Committee.

He is author of the book “After the Rain”, founded his own company Sirocco Strategic Management, co-founded The Mother Fox Worldwide together with colleague Dr Karin Badenhorst, and is trustee of The Governance Project Foundation.

Tony is a keen athlete, photographer, private pilot and is passionate about the natural heritage of South Africa and the sustainability of our Planet and its inhabitants.

 

The Foundation acts as facilitator, helping to create opportunities for individuals, companies and institutions to be further equipped with the basic principles and toolsets of common-sense governance
